Maestro and Tidldibab is a novel about the music that remembers what humanity has forgotten.
A dying musician, a Neanderthal flute, and a woman searching for meaning meet in a story that blurs the line between science and soul.
Set between caves, concerts, and quiet kitchens, the novel travels through time and across the Balkans — from the echo of the world’s first note to the fragile beauty of a final breath.
It’s a meditation on art, mortality, and the invisible bridges that connect us all.
A story for those who listen not only with their ears, but with their heart.
Printed on high-quality creamy paper (70 g/m²), softcover format 6 × 9 inches (15.2 × 22.9 cm), 364 pages.
Edition highlights: elegant minimalist design, sustainably printed in Slovenia, with signature golden details by Lux&Rosen.
An ideal gift for lovers of music, art, and stories that bridge science and spirituality.
About the Author
Eva Premk Bogataj (Ljubljana, 1979) comes from a family shaped by four generations of women in science and by a cultural environment formed by bold ideas and poetic minds. She holds a PhD in literary studies and researches comparative intellectual and cultural traditions. Fluent in eight languages, she moves between linguistic worlds with ease, convinced that every language carries its own cosmos of meaning.
Her professional path weaves together science, culture, and business. Building bridges is her way of working — between the visible and the invisible, between fields that often appear incompatible. She creates narratives that transform perspectives and has spent years working in complex professional environments where clarity is essential, even in times of crisis. In an era of rapid technological transformation, she believes the greatest human capacity lies in transcending limitations of time, space, and circumstance to shape meaning that is both unique and enduring.
She has published numerous scholarly and professional articles, two scientific monographs, and has edited several books. Maestro and Tidldibab is her literary debut — a novel that combines scientific precision with artistic intuition and metaphysical insight. The narrative interweaves Balkan and European cultural memory, archaeological mystery, myth, and personal reflection, creating a work that reaches beyond conventional boundaries of place and time.
